Install Windows XP in Your laptop Compaq
You can’t install WINDOWS XP in your laptop COMPAQ,
because Windows XP can’t support SATA. hardisk. There are some tips to install your Compaq :
1. Use external floppy disk, its contents of driver SATA.
2. Use Windows XP black edition ( DVD )
3. Use CD Installation Windows XP with driver SATA, you can make Windows XP SATA support.
How to make CD installation Windows XP with driver SATA ?
Prepare some softwares :
1. CD Installer Windows XP
2. nLite download
3. NET Framework 2.0 download
4. SATA Driver download
Step 1
Check your chipset laptop, look for the compatible driver intel SATA AHCI controller, if the
laptop by chipset intel 965 ( for example: 3504,3906,dll) there are intel SATA AHCI
controller Mobile ICH7M here Install this driver in your computer, This driver willl be installed at drive C
" c:\swsetup\sp32478".
Step 2
Preparing master of Windows XP. Run the software nLite. click “next” , And then at the window “Locating the windows inst." click “browse” and choose the folder where the master of Windows XP reside in, click “next”
Go out the version OS. Click “Next”
At the menu window of facility which want to modification. choose the same driver of bootable ISO.click “Next”
Choose the multiple driver folder, choose the file extract to " c:\swsetup\sp32478\". choose "select multiple drive folder to integrated" click” all”. And then select choose the text mode, select all, click O.K..
Burn this file ISO with NERO or another software, And your CD Installation Windows XP with driver SATA is ready !
